Herpetology!

A quick five miles around the Fen this morning was surprisingly productive, given the coolish overcast of mid-morning. Hissing Sid was back on his log, while Common Lizards were everywhere. I was interested to note that the Grass Snake obviously has lost an eye sometime in the past...

Not too many birds, although the Reed and Cetti's Warblers were in good voice: I even managed a couple of shots. Odonata were few and far between: a couple of Norfolk Hawkers, Four-spots and Hairies were the only large Dragons, while there were a few Emeralds, Reds and various Blue Damsels around the reserve.
