Back at Strumpshaw Fen: Willow Emerald and Grasshopper Warbler

After the Lord Mayor's Show! Back into routine, meeting Brian (and Mike) for a walk around the Fen. Despite a strongish breeze, it was still quite pleasant, although there was little to raise the pulse rate. Nevertheless, always plenty to see: Willow Emerald, family groups of Blackcaps and Marsh Harriers and the report of a Six-belted Clearwing along the Sandy Path to maintain interest levels. A Grasshopper Warbler reeled away along Lackford Run, before giving decent (if fleeting) views...

Despite a good search, we found only a single, tiny Swallowtail caterpillar.
