Sunday in Suffolk: Helmingham Hall and Debenham

Another garden show, this time in the delightful surroundings of Helmingham Hall. Since Linda had arranged to pick up another piece of garden sculpture at the event, we invited Sue and Peter to join us for a day out. The weather was absolutely perfect and the event was well-organised and well-attended. Wildlife included lots of dragonflies and just a single Painted Lady, while the park held a large herd of Fallow Deer. After a good look around, a cream tea (and lots of purchases!) we moved on to Debenham

This well-kept village is full of Tudor and Georgian houses and has a really interesting church with lots of fascinating tombs, armorials and architecture . We enjoyed a pleasant late lunch before driving home to watch highlights of Lewis Hamilton's triumph in the Singapore GP: what a driver he is!
