Falcated Duck: an armchair 'tick'

The BOU has just added Falcated Duck to Category A of the British List. This is based on a review of a bird that was seen way back in December 1986 at Pitsford Reservoir and at Cley, the latter of which I saw (and, as you can see below, drew in my notebook!) The photo is another anonymous one from my old album of bought images, although (given the quality) it's possible I snapped it with my flintlock Praktica and 300mm zoom lens.

Since the Cley bird hung around until the Summer, I never added it to my life list: it's on there now, bringing the total back up to 426 (Steppe Grey Shrike having recently been eliminated!)
