Little to report: lots of Marsh Harriers and Buzzards, plus a single, distant Red Kite, while the only Snipe at Fen Hide were three Commons. There were several parties of Bearded Tits in the reedbeds, but they kept low in the stiff breeze.

Strumpshaw Fen: paths shut by flooding!
I met Brian (as usual) at the Fen this morning: the riverside and Lackford were both underwater, so we were restricted to Fen Hide and the Woodland Walk.
Little to report: lots of Marsh Harriers and Buzzards, plus a single, distant Red Kite, while the only Snipe at Fen Hide were three Commons. There were several parties of Bearded Tits in the reedbeds, but they kept low in the stiff breeze.
