Hickling Broad

Having voted early, Linda and I decided to carry on to Hickling, hoping to beat the predicted rain: we did - but only just!

In all honesty there wasn't too much to see: the birds seem to have 'battened down' in advance of the bad weather. However, we saw or heard several year tick species, including Common Tern, Cuckoo, Reed Warbler and Swift, as well as Avocet, Marsh Harrier and plenty of Sedge and Willow Warblers.
