Martin Read & I went for seconds of the Roller, but managed to leave 2 minutes before it was refound! Slight compensation came in the form of a few singing Woodlarks and a Purple Hairstreak.
A walk around Kelling Heath turned up no Dartfords and no Silver-studded Blues - just a steam train and some heathland birds... Look how close these walkers got without noticing the Green Woodpecker!
