Patch-work can be amazing!

A walk around the Fen this morning was absolutely delightful, with decent views of Bearded Tit, Lesser Whitethroat, Cuckoo, Otter, Little Egret, loads of Hairy Dragonflies and a couple of new butterflies for the year: Green-veined White and Holly Blue.

Star turns, though, were the recently ever-present Cranes and a Heron that swallowed a two-pound pike whole!
