Kite country and a massive car boot!

Linda and I had a day in Maidenhead before moving on to the Oxford Rock & Mineral Show. Having arrived really early, we decided on a visit to the massive Denham Car Boot (as featured in most of the BBC's antiques programmes!)

Plenty of bargains and plenty of birds too: lots of Red Kites & Buzzards and several big groups of Ring-necked Parakeets: as always, a  delight to spend the day with Mary, my Mum-in-Law and to renew acquaintances with Berkshire's special birds!

Later, a walk along the Thames at Cookham produced more Parakeets, as well as Garden Warbler, Common Tern and my first Hobby of the year!
