Early morning raptors over the Heath!

Blustery weather, but it hasn't put off the local birds of prey: this morning I glanced from the office to see a Buzzard battling against the strong winds. This doesn't seem to be one of the 'regulars', lacking their characteristic colouration.

A little later a beautiful female Marsh Harrier drifted along our hedge line: the closest I've seen one here for a while. Meanwhile, numerous female Pheasants and a pair of Red-legged Partridges came for an early breakfast!
