Coues's Redpoll at Choseley, Woodcock at Titchwell and Twite at Thornham

With the weather forecast almost entirely wrong, a day out on the North Coast for Brian, Norman and me seemed doomed to be decidedly average. However, it didn't turn out that way!

First stop was Cley: apart from, a couple of Barn Owls in the fog, things didn't look too promising, so we headed west. Choseley failed to produce the reported Hooded Crow, but we did find a small flock of somewhat distant Redpolls that included a very probable Arctic.

A walk out at Titchwell added Woodcock to three year lists, but little else, so we carried on up the coast to Thornham. Here we enjoyed great views of the long-staying Twite, as well as Greenshank and Rock Pipit.

With lots of other bits and pieces, it was, in the end, a terrific day out!
