Strange Little Egret at Cley
While Brian and I were at Cley yesterday, we noticed a Little Egret with all-black 'bare parts': legs, feet and bill.
Is there any race or age of Little Egret that shows this? The bird, you'll notice, had a broad aluminium ring on its left leg. (This wasn't mud on the feet: through binoculars you could see the skin pattern on them.)
