Since Linda and I had been stuck indoors waiting for the post for two days, we both felt like a walk around the Fen: it wasn't going to be the full circuit, since the clouds were quite threatening.
A brief stop at Reception produced one distant candidate for Pintail, but nothing conclusive, so we sped around to Tower Hide. Here the water levels were somewhat raised, but there were a few waders still: a couple of Ruff, three Snipe and a confiding Common Sandpiper.
Four very distant Red Kites passed along the ridge by Braydeston Church, while an immature Marsh Harrier periodically put up all the ducks!
