The new Moon in the old Moon's arms....

The thin crescent of the waning Moon was a beautiful sight in the pre-dawn sky this morning (I got up early to watch Lewis Hamilton inch another step closer to his fifth F1 Championship!)

While I was taking the photos I could hear a steady stream of Redwings passing low overhead: as it grew light I could see that the flocks were a mixture of Redwings and Fieldfares - my first of the Autumn...
