Cheeky s*d visits the garden!
Luckily we have installed wire mesh over the pond for the winter (mostly to keep leaves out!) since today a Grey Heron came to size up the carp and orfe as potential lunch items!
In the past (despite being some distance from the nearest pond or stream) we had our largest Koi eaten by an Otter: it's a tough existence for a pond fish!
