Bearded Tits at Strumpshaw Fen
An early morning walk around the Fen with a few of the regulars eventually provided me with reasonable views of two small flocks of Bearded Tits - one of seven birds, one of four. Lovely light and the absence of any wind made the morning thoroughly enjoyable.
Other birds included Bittern, several Snipe, a confiding Wren and a Stonechat on its regular perch along the river side.
