Either side of midnight last night, the waning gibbous Moon slid past the planet Mars. Despite celebrating friend Peter's birthday with a (patio-heated!) alfresco glass of wine or two, I crawled out of bed to photograph the conjunction at 12.15 and 3.15: well worth it!
