I've been kept extraordinarily busy today: the phone has hardly stopped. However, each time I look out of the office window, I'm greeted by the sight of a pair of gorgeous little Stock Doves. They have - to me - the same soft cuteness as Turtle Doves: definitely one of my favourite birds.
Alerted by friend Peter, I've been glancing northwards every now and then: sure enough, the brief sunshine brought out a pair of Red Kites, as well as the usual Buzzards. Too far away for photos, but very welcome on the patch!
