What purpose would an RSPB induced cull serve? There are many hundreds of these birds on the Isle of Thanet and thousands more spread around the suburbs of West London. So many RSPB garden bird recorders enjoy this colourful alien at their garden feeding stations that the prospect of this "pillar" of conservation inciting such a cull would be anti-productive? How many window watchers would feel let down by such actions and continue with their subscriptions? Dylan
