Marsh Harriers are frequent visitors to the fields around Hemblington Church, but this one that I stopped to watch on my way back from Hickling appears to be gathering nesting material. On our many visits to France back in the nineties, Linda and I noticed that Marshies the other side of the Channel seemed to prefer nesting in cereal crops rather than reedbeds: possibly ours are adopting this behaviour.
