Linda and I joined friends Sue and Peter (and a couple of bottles of fizz!) to wait for the eclipsed full Moon to rise: their garden has great views over open fields to the east. As seems to have been a more or less universal experience, a thick cloud belt appeared just at the wrong time... Infuriatingly, a couple of hours later the sky was totally clear!
