Cottage garden birds!

When we visit Sussex, we stay in a delightful barn conversion a couple of miles from Devil's Dyke on the South Downs. It has a decent-sized garden with  hedges and rough grass, backing on to pasture and mature deciduous woodland.  Linda always brings plenty of bird food to fill the numerous feeders that hang around the garden and these never fail to attract a good variety of birds. On this trip we recorded 28 species in or over the garden, including Willow Warbler, Blackcap, Great Spotted and Green Woodpecker, Treecreeper and Song Thrush!
