At this time of year Linda starts putting windfall apples out in the garden - these we get for nothing from a kind gent at a local carboot. The apples - together with our large Tree Cotoneaster - never fail to attract any thrushes that pass over the Heath: today it was Fieldfares (too dark to photograph!) and Redwings. These hung around until mid-morning, but the pictures are still a little gloomy! We bought the Cotoneaster back in the 80s, having watched a Black-throated Thrush that was camped out in one just outside Peterborough. Fingers crossed!
