Last night around half past ten the full 'Buck' Moon rose over the rooftops. It being close to the Summer Solstice, the Sun is riding high in the sky, while the Moon never gets far above the horizon: this is accentuated at the moment because of the Major Lunar Standstill phenomenon, when the Sun's gravity increases the tilt of the Moon's orbit around the Earth to a maximum.
