Spugs!

While sorting several terabytes of photos into folders, I suddenly realised I'd never seen a House Sparrow at Strumpshaw Fen! Or, if I did, it was years ago! This is strange, because they're not uncommon in Blofield Heath: there are twelve in the garden as I type! What have other Yare Valley regulars noticed?

Don't get them out on the marshes David, but little pockets and indeed strongholds exist throughout the village and surrounds. Most exist close to man, relying on food provided and a nice thick hedge to roost in. Be nice if we had some local Tree Sparrows.

Update, Jim!
There were LOADS of House Sparrows along the riverside at Cantley today! Maybe they just don't like Strumpshaw!
