A quick day trip to Maidenhead gave us a few photographic opportunities: a Red Kite 'enjoying' a tussle with a Sparrowhawk was fascinating to watch: other kites came close enough for decent images with my old K-x and 300mm sigma.
A lunch stop at Bourne End turned up a Brown Hawker resting inside the glasshouses before flying off into the 26 degree heat, while another Brown was nearly taken by an Emperor at Boulter's Lock.
