This morning I glanced from the office window to see a real gaggle of Pink-footed Geese heading north-west at low altitude: not in the usual 'V' formations, so perhaps they'd just taken off from the fields near Hemblington Church. (No Snow Geese among them!)
A little later, I noticed that the phone wires and trees at the end of our garden were festooned with gulls: nothing in that, I suppose, but it was interesting to note how good even the Common Gulls have become at gripping onto wires with their webbed feet.
