Displaying Buzzards over the Heath and an unusual Pheasant

Spring must be on its way! A well-marked pair of Common Buzzards is displaying over the garden most days: they seem to fly up from the wooded area at Pedham. One of the birds appears to be moulting, or perhaps it's been bounced by a rival.

Meanwhile, this beautifully marked Pheasant visited the feeders in our garden: truly spectacular scaly feathering on its flanks. It wasn't appreciated by the 'resident' cock pheasant, however, who quickly saw his rival off the premises!
