Hawfinch at Lynford Arboretum: rainy runabout in the Brecks!

Linda joined Norman, Brian and me for a morning-only whizz down to the Brecks: the weather forecast wasn't promising and Brian had to be in Norwich early afternoon. (Besides which, I'm still as weak as a kitten!)

First stop - in between showers - was Lynford Arboretum. A complete circuit of the paddock provided very distant views of a solitary Hawfinch, but better ones of Song Thrush, Great Spotted Woodie, Redwing, Nuthatch, Marsh Tit and Grey Wagtail. The delightful Blue Tit image is Brian's.

Following coffee at Green's, final stop was the big clearing at the back of Grime's Graves. Again, we walked the circuit, adding Woodlark (and Meadow Pipit!) and Brambling to the day's tally.

One of those days when everything was a long way off and the light necessitated high ISOs: still - great to get out with the Team again!
