At the Fen yesterday I watched a Sparrowhawk chasing around after Swifts: it didn't seem manouverable enough to catch one - they turned inside it with ease! Today, however, I watched a Sprawk (distantly!) catch a Swift over the fields to the north. It achieved this by diving down like a Pedregrine or Hobby. Perhaps the Swift was still dozing, having been up all night to watch the election results!
I really had no idea a Sparrowhawk had the agility to catch a Swift...
