Beautiful Moon and Venus, but no Mercury

Venus is an even more spectacular object in the south-western sky at sunset: had it not been for the belt of cloud just above the horizon, Mercury would also have been visible.

The Moon - just a day or so off full - is also splendid tonight, with the ray crater Tycho and the super-bright Aristarchus both prominent.
