Just when Martin & I thought we weren't destined to catch up with any of the reported rares, we found a Flycatcher at the end of Garden Drove. It was very high in an oak and always a silhouette, but in the end we decided it was a greyish Spotted (although it does resemble the RBF shown on 'various people's' blogs!)

Here we go again!
OK: so today's jaunt to Stiffkey was straight-forward enough at first: a Garden Warbler posed so nicely that even I had no trouble calling it! Other birds included lots of Reed Buntings and Linnets, a few Chiff-Willows the first Bramblings of the year and a few Whinchats. Almost everything was a long way away and shrouded in mist, so apologies for the picture quality!
