Time for a reality check! Back to Strumpshaw for a last look at the Bearded Tits before they disperse.
I met Brian and Liz in a fairly busy Fen Hide where, despite the chatter, three of us heard the unmistakeable song of a Penduline Tit on four occasions: one of the regular photographers caught a glimpse of it on the left of the hide. It must surely only be a matter of time until someone grabs a photograph.
An hour on the Sandy Path produced a few photo ops of the Bearded Tits, but they were skittish and several small parties departed high to the south. While I was photographing a flying group, I imaged a bright, spherical light!
Lots of Migrant Hawkers & Common Darters still....
