Birthday supper...

What a bizarre year it's been! Normally Linda and I celebrate birthdays with friends at a restaurant or I'll prepare a dinner party. This year, of course, neither was possible! We did enjoy the company of friends Sue and Peter for an al fresco Mediterranean meal as soon as regulations allowed, but the weather this week has precluded a repeat!

Instead, I cooked Linda's favourite: langoustines in garlic butter with double-cooked chips, washed down with champagne and finished off with chocolate gateau...
