A night in Rendlesham Forest!

Linda and I met our oldest friends Paul & Jason at the East Gate car park, for a nostalgic walk in and around the Forest. It was a beautiful day: warm sunshine and spectacular autumnal colours with Red Kites, Sparrowhawks and Buzzards soaring overhead.

After a morning spent 'doing the Track 10 circuit', we enjoyed lunch at our regular cafe at Orford Quay, before checking into the hotel near Ipswich. After an hour's 'doze' we drove back to Woodbridge for fish and chips (eaten in the car!) before returning to the Forest.

The sky was absolutely clear, allowing wonderful views of the Milky Way, M31, Jupiter and the Pleiades. Tawny Owls hooted near Capel Green and two bright meteors were a bonus: lots of satellites, as well as a couple of anomalous stationary 'winking' lights...

Back to the hotel for a nightcap and sleep (sadly interrupted several times in the early morning  by thoughtless young revellers) before a good breakfast and farewells...
