For the past couple of weeks there has been an evening build-up of Red Kites going into roost to the north of Bond's Lane. Peter can see the birds assembling from his dining room and tonight kindly gave me a 'phone call to say that fifteen or more birds had congregated. By the time I grabbed my camera and joined him there were only three or four still airborne: still pleasing to see so close to home, though.
