Norman and I took a run up to Cromer to look for the recently-present Siberian or Eastern race Stonechat. After a short walk and initial confusion with a 'regular' Stonechat, we enjoyed glimpses of this attractive waif as it flitted through the gorse. My new camera is still less than optimal, but I managed some acceptable shots.
From there we moved to Happisburgh, spending an hour not seeing any large Pipits, before carrying on to Winterton. The slog out to the area where yesterday's Desert Warbler had been showing well to every dude in the county was fruitless: the bird had gone. Only 'compensation' was a Kestrel mobbing a Hobby.
