I see the Moon, the Moon sees me!

When it's a clear evening at the moment, the Moon is particularly easy to observe, being just above the horizon at sunset. If you have a reasonable camera and lens you should be able to obtain some spectacular images of craters, maria basins, mountains and other features. I've found the best technique is a lowish ISO, with the backlight wound right back. If you're going to hand-hold the camera, try propping it against a wall or door-frame (or use a tripod!)

If you've got a 300mm f2.8 and 2x converter, I'd love to see your results!
