Looking back five years to when this blog began, Buzzards were quite a rare sight in the skies over the Heath: now we can expect to see half a dozen a day, often in 'kettles' of three, four or five. Our neighbours Peter & Sue have seen one group of twenty!
Today was no exception: several times groups of these lovely raptors soared overhead, enlivening a day in the garden! The Yellowhammer has become ever-present: he's at the seed whenever the Partridges, Pheasants and Pigeons give him shoulder-room!
