At 6.30, I glanced out to see a Hobby darting in and out of a large group of Swifts: both are garden year ticks and most welcome! Too high for photos, really, but great to see!

Beautiful Buzzards and a marauding Hobby!
I can't get enough of our local Buzzard pair: at the moment they are displaying over the garden every day, regardless of the weather: what a privilege for Linda and me! It all goes to show: if you can persuade gamekeepers and 'sportsmen' to stop shooting at raptors, they are entirely capable of staging a come-back all by themselves..
