Venus & Mercury

Mercury is still climbing in the western sky at sunrise, but you'll have to be outside ready with binoculars or telescope to see Venus, which sets almost as soon as it's dark enough to see it - about 8.50pm last night. Mercury is rarely as easy to pick out as it is at the moment, so if you have a clear western horizon, why not have a look at the smallest planet in the Solar System?

The first three images are Venus, the other three are Mercury.
