The return of the Dowitcher!

With little else reported, the 'Summer Wine Crew' headed north west through the murk to Cley. The Long-billed Dowitcher that first arrived with Black-tailed Godwits a couple of years back, had reappeared on Pat's, after spending the winter in Suffolk. We settled down to check the huge flock of Godwits, with lots of false alarms, before the distinctive little yank flew out and landed distantly in front of the (closed) centre hides.

Not a huge amount else to report: the first Sand Martins of the year, A Water Pipit and - from calls only - a Bittern and Cranes at Hickling on the way home.
