Probably most gardeners' favourite time of year: everything is in bud or flower - plants that have lain dormant burst into life and the garden is full of the drone of bees and other insects. Overhead Kites and Buzzards wheel around, uttering their plaintive calls, while Stock Doves and Partridges compete for the food that Linda puts out for them!
