Linda and I popped down to visit Mary, my Mum-in-Law: despite being over ninety, she is great fun to be with... We stopped on the way at Shoreham for breakfast and a look at the River Adur, before moving up to Devil's Dyke - lots of Meadow Pipits, Stonechats and Dunnocks and a pretty little female Whinchat.
Having picked Mary up, we visited the Bluebell Line for a trip to East Grinstead aboard a vintage steam train. After a light lunch we returned to Sheffield Park in an even older carriage, before booking into our lovely cottage at Poynings.
