To our delight, the long-staying Red-tailed Shrike hung around until Brian, Norman and I were all free for a run down to Suffolk. This bird completes our pair of Red-tailed Shrikes, all three of us having connected with Daurian / Isabelline Shrikes on birding days together in Norfolk.
A good-humoured crowd watched this obliging individual and enjoyed plenty of good views of Dartford Warblers, too. (Nice to bump into top Lowestoft birder Peter R...)
We adjourned to Minsmere for lunch and a virtually birdless walk round, before bumping into old friends Joyce and Andrew on the cafe terrace!
