First stop was Weybourne, where the Iceland Gull surrendered to our cameras almost straight away: it flew out to sea after just a few minutes....
A move to Cley produced a Red Kite and the usual waders from the East Bank, before back-tracking to Kelling Heath. Stonechats were everywhere, but no Dartford Warblers accompanied them. We did see - and hear - three or four Woodlarks.
Last stop was Holt Lowes, where we found several Adders, a Grass Snake and a couple of Buzzards. A great day out with good friends and the pleasure of adding Iceland Gull to my brother's lifelist!
Dr Rob Bryant: great guy and Bill Oddie look-alike!
