Friday's eclipse!

Despite what you may have read on 'another wildlife blog', you won't be seeing a total eclipse from Norfolk on Friday: to experience this amazing phenomenon, you'll have to fly / cruise to the Faroe Islands, I'm afraid...

The eclipse we'll see (if clear!) will be an 86% partial: still impressive, but the sky won't go pitch black, you won't see stars and cows won't lie down!

All of these amazing things did occur in August, 1999, when Linda & I sat on the cliffs and watched the shadow of the Moon sweep along the Channel. Sadly, with around 30 seconds to go until totality, a cloud covered the Sun! Still: the videos we took are pretty amazing: here are some 'grabs' and a photo of the T-shirts we were wearing!
