Shrike! Something from nothing!

With an incredibly unpromising weather forecast, Brian & I still fancied a good walk (8 miles!) and coffee at Brown's, so we headed down to the Brecks. We spent much of the day in the plantations around Grimes Graves, where we saw Woodlark and Great Grey Shrike (distantly!) and found a fresh Goshawk kill.

We also visited Lynford, where the 'Orchard' feeders attracted all the Tits (except Willow!) as well as Brambling, Siskin & Nuthatch. Our only Hawfinches were fly-bys....

Last stop was Santon Downham, where Buzzard, Kingfisher and Grey Wagtail joined the day-list.
