I met with Brian Tubby at Halvergate Bridge for a short scan of the marshes: sure enough, we enjoyed distant views of Rough-legged Buzzard, Short-eared Owl and Bewick's Swan, before moving 'home' to Strumpshaw.
Brian & I walked round with Adrian and another regular (whose name - to my embarrassment - I've forgotten) connecting with Bullfinch, Red Kite, some close Marsh Harriers and an early Ring Ouzel sharing a meadow with Fieldfares and Redwings. New for the year was a Small Tortoiseshell along Lackford Run.
