Last night I spent a cold couple of hours trying to set up the new StarSense auto- alignment tool on my telescope. Whether it was the bright Moon low in the east, the lack of a clear horizon in the west or me misinterpreting the instructions, I just couldn't get past an 'insufficient data' error message. I will not be beaten!
While I was outside, I thought I'd have a bash at the 'usual suspects' (the Moon, Orion Nebula, Comet E3 and Venus and Jupiter) using my DSLR and a 300mm prime.
